England April 2025 Trip Report
Hello, dear prayer partners!
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers for our mission trip to England. Your partnership means more than words can say, and I truly believe your prayers paved the way for everything we experienced.
Arrival & Training (April 27)
The team and I arrived safely in London on Saturday—thank you, Lord! After wrangling all our luggage, we hopped on the “Tube” for an hour and 20-minute ride to Southgate in North London, where we would be staying. God’s traveling mercies were so evident already.
That afternoon, we met with our IMB (International Mission Board) field partners, Zeth and Hannah, for some initial training. They gave us a clear picture of what the week would look like, where we would be serving, and equipped us with some powerful tools for sharing the gospel and the love of Jesus.
Worship & Encouragement (Sunday)
Sunday was a day of rich blessing as we attended both morning and evening services at Grace Baptist Church Woodgreen. This church is a beautiful, diverse body of Christ-followers who were such an encouragement to us—and we hope we were to them as well. In the evening, we joined their “Tea and Talk,” where Zeth led a powerful session on discipleship. Each of us left with tools we can use to disciple others well—what a gift!
Evangelism in Camden Town (Week of April 28)
We spent the week in Camden Town, a spiritually dark yet deeply loved area of North London. The mission here is clear: reach the lost with the gospel of Jesus, and we had the honor of coming alongside our field partners to do just that.
Zeth and Hannah were sent here not only to evangelize but also to plant churches in these underreached communities. Andrew, a recent addition to their team from First Baptist Church of Melbourne, shares this vision. Please continue to pray for him as he adjusts to life and ministry in London.
We were heartbroken to learn that less than 2% of the UK population identifies as evangelical Christian. Bible-teaching churches are few and far between. But praise God—He is at work! The team is already taking steps toward planting a new church right in Camden Town. Please pray for clear direction and favor as that work continues.
What God Did Through Your Prayers
Your prayers made a difference—tangibly and powerfully! Here’s what the Lord allowed our team to experience:
- We gave out 200 Bibles.
- We prayed one-on-one with 84 people—in parks, at coffee shops, on the streets.
- We shared the Gospel with 48 people. Of those:
- 14 rejected it,
- 6 were already believers,
- 21 wanted more time or further contact,
- And praise God—7 people accepted Jesus as their Savior!
- We gathered contact info from several who are open to learning more about Jesus or connecting with a local, Christ-centered church.
What an amazing harvest week. Truly, without your intercession, these spiritual breakthroughs would not have happened. Thank you for standing in the gap with us.
Debrief & Return Home (Friday–Saturday)
On Friday, we gathered for a special wrap-up and debrief with our field partners. They treated us to a traditional English tea time—it was a sweet, restful time to reflect on all God had done. Zeth encouraged us again with creative ways to bring what we learned back home as we continue to share Jesus in our own communities.
We returned home Saturday evening, full of gratitude and awe. FBC Mel’s first mission trip to London is now “in the books,” but its impact will continue—both in London and in our hearts.
Final Word of Thanks
Speaking for our whole team, I want to say how grateful we are for YOU. Your faithful prayers carried us, empowered us, and were part of every seed planted and every soul reached. You were on mission with us for King Jesus. Lives were changed, eternities were impacted—and it was ALL worth it.
God bless you, and thank you again!
