Iglesia Bautista Nueva Gorgona is a church plant in Panama led by Pastor Ricardo Fernandez. FBCMel has partnered with Pastor Ricardo and his father since 2011. On trips, we serve along side the church in children’s programs and outreach projects.
Current Prayer Requests

- Praise God for the continued growth of Iglesia Bautista Nueva Gorgona and plans for the Christian school.
- Pray for God to provide a way financially and logistically for the Fernandez family to live close to their church to invest more time where God has called them.
- Pray for the trip in February 23-March 2, 2026. There are 32 going – pray for logistics as they drive and minister. There are three objectives – a VBS, a construction team and a team to work with the Hakka Chinese in evangelism.
- Pray for the buses that bring the children and all the workers and volunteers – that there would be no accidents and health and safety for all involved. Pray that many children would come, and that the parent program the church runs in conjunction with the VBS would be well attended. Pray for much Gospel fruit!
